Dr. Larry P. Walker is a resident of Detroit, MI, and a retired Cornell University Professor. During his time at Cornell, he has led multidiscipline research activities focused on pre-treatment and enzymatic scarification of lignocellulosic feedstock, abiotic and biotic interactions in aerobic degradation processes, and the application of systems biology modelling to direct metabolic activities in Saccharomyces Cerevisiae and Thermotoga neapolitana to drive more carbon to biofuels and bioproducts.
He was Director of Cornell’s Biofuels Research Laboratory, from 2009 – 2015. His extensive research activities have yielded over two hundred peer and non-peer reviewed articles. Dr Walker has served in numerous leadership roles including membership on the National Biomass Research and Development Technical Advisory Committee (2000 -2005) and leadership of the Northeast Sun Initiative, a regional bioenergy and bioproducts initiative, from 2004 through 2012. He serves on the Governing Board of K. J. Somaiya Institute of Engineering and Information Technology and the Academic Council of Somaiya Vidyavihar, Mumbai, India. Since 2018. Dr. Walker is a current member of MSU’s College of Agriculture and Natural Resources Alumni Association.)

Prof. C.R. Babu served as a faculty member of the Department of Botany, University of Delhi for more than 35 years. He was the founder Director of the Centre for Environmental Management of Degraded Ecosystems (CEMDE) and School of Environmental Studies at the University of Delhi and brought into existence the Department of Environmental Biology (now designated as Department of Environmental Studies) there.
Prof. C.R. Babu was also the Pro-Vice-Chancellor of University of Delhi from 2000 to 2005. Presently he is Professor Emeritus at the University of Delhi and Distinguished Professor of the Environment and Ecology at the School of Human Ecology, Ambedkar University Delhi. He is the Project Director of the Centre of Excellence Programme of the Ministry of Environment & Forests & Climate Change, Government of India at CEMDE (University of Delhi) and Project Incharge of the Biodiversity Parks Programme of Delhi Development Authority (DDA) at the University of Delhi. Prof. Babu has been working in the areas of Conservation Biology, Biodiversity and Genetic Resources, Environmental Degradation and Ecological Restoration, Ecosystem Dynamics and Functions, and Systematics for more than 40 years. Forty-Four students secured their Ph.Ds from the University of Delhi under his guidance. He along with his students published about 227 research papers in national and international journals. He is a Fellow of the Indian Academy of Sciences (Bangalore) and Chairman/Member of several National and International Committees on Environment and Ecology. He, along with his students have been working on ecological restoration of degraded ecosystems for more than two decades and there are success stories to their credit. V.C. Patil obtained his B.Sc. (Agriculture) in 1973, M.Sc. (Agriculture) in agronomy in 1975 and his Ph. D in Agronomy in 1980 with a Gold Medal, from The University of Agricultural Sciences (UAS), Bangalore, Karnataka, India.
He went to the University of Oxford, United Kingdom, as a Visiting Scientist under the Commonwealth Academic Staff Fellowship during the academic year 1984-85 and has a passion to develop and promote Smart Farming. He is currently serving as The Director of K. J. Somaiya Institute of Applied Agricultural Research, Sameerwadi. He served as The Chair Professor in Precision Agriculture Research Chair, College of Food and Agriculture Sciences, King Saud University (KSU), Riyadh, Saudi Arabia from 2010-2014. From 2008 to 2010, he worked as The Dean of College of Agriculture and Special Officer (Technical) at University of Agricultural Sciences (UAS), Raichur, India. He served UAS, Dharwad, India, in various capacities - as the Head of the Division of Plant and Soil Sciences (2006-2008), the Director of Instruction (Post Graduate Studies) in 2008, Professor and Head of the Department of Agronomy (2001-2008), Professor of Agronomy (1994-2001) and as Associate Professor of Agronomy (1986-1994). He served as Assistant Professor of Agronomy in Hebbal campus (1982-84) and as an Instructor in Agronomy at Dharwad campus of UAS, Bangalore (1980-82).

Director, Eka Archiving Services, Mumbai
Deepthi Sasidharan is an art historian and curator. Her academic qualifications in museology illustrate her comprehensive approach to managing projects. She works on heritage and museum projects across India with the Government, private and corporate clients.
Under her, Eka has executed projects that have been path-breaking in India, including several museums, seminal exhibitions and the creation of archives like those for Kalakshetra in Chennai, City Palace in Udaipur and Tata Trusts in Mumbai. She is currently the lead consultant for Moda Goa Museum, India’s first costume museum in Goa and the Bastion Bungalow Project, Fort Kochi, Government of Kerala as well as a heritage project for the Mumbai Police. A Fulbright and Fundacao Oriente scholar, she has lectured and published extensively on 19th century photography and has worked on photography collections at IGNCA and IGMT, New Delhi, and Chowmahalla Palace, Hyderabad and several private collections. Deepthi lives in Mumbai and is the co-author of Indira – A Life of Courage (2017) and Treasures of the Deccan (2018) and teaches and lectures at several leading institutions.

Mr. Sapan Ray worked for nearly four decades in the petrochemical industry, focusing on polymers. His responsibilities included corporate planning, merger and acquisition, sales, product management, business development, branding and communication.
Mr Ray has networked with global and Indian petrochemical industries. Over the years, he has assisted the Government of India in the preparation of perspective plans, addressing trade and environmental issues. His knowledge and experience have landed him numerous roles in esteemed organisations. Dr. Ameya K. Naik is Professor and Head, Department of Electronics and Telecommunication, K. J. Somaiya College of Engineering (KJSCE), Somaiya Vidyavihar University where he has been a faculty member since 2005. Dr. Ameya K. Naik completed his Ph.D. from S.R.T. Marathwada University, Nanded in 2015. He has published more than thirty research papers in international/national journals and conferences, some of which are in reputed journals such as IEEE Transactions on Image Processing, and Elsevier Neurocomputing. Dr. Deepak Sharma is currently working as Professor and Head, Department of Computer Engineering at one of the leading Engineering colleges in Mumbai namely, K J Somaiya College of Engineering, Vidyavihar for the past 18 years. He received his Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering from S G B Amravati University and M.E Computer Engineering from VJTI Mumbai. Dr. Sharma has a total teaching experience of 27 years. He has published over 40 research papers in international journals and in the proceedings of international conferences. Dr. Kamalrookh Marolia has been associated with Somaiya Vidyavihar for the past 17 years. She has a vast research experience of 15 years in academic and commercial industrial organizations. Dr. Madhura Janve is a Doctorate in Food Science from the Institute of Chemical Technology, Mumbai. She has worked as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at DBT-ICT. Centre for Energy Biosciences. Dr. Madhura is a recipient of the prestigious ICMR international travel grant to present her research at the University of East Anglia, United Kingdom.
She is a winner of the DuPont Nutri-Scholar Awards, a national level product development competition, among other achievements. Dr. Madhura has a Masters degree in Nutraceuticals and has published research papers and book chapters in various International Journals.

BOS in Applied Statistics
Prof. A. S Desai obtained first class with Distinction in Master of Science in Applied Mathematics from Mumbai University in 1984 and M. Phil in Numerical Methods from Shivaji University, Kolhapur in 1998. He then went on to register for a Ph.D. Programme. In June 1986, he joined KJSCE as a Lecturer. He has been working as an Associate Professor in Applied Mathematics in the Department of Science and Humanities since May 2003. Currently, he is looking after the Science and Humanities Department as a Head. His areas of research include App. Mathematics, Fuzzy Automata, Linear Algebra and Probability Theory.
Prof. A.S. Desai is a chairperson of Board Of Studies in Statistics in SVU. In his vast teaching experience of 32 years in Applied Mathematics and Statistics at KJSCE, he has held various positions such as member of BOS in other institutes, faculty advisor, ISTE Students’ Chapter (MH–60), Secretary cum Treasurer of ISTE, Somaiya Chapter (2001-2003) and Life Member of Marathi Vidynan Parishad. To his credit, he has publications in national and international journals and has authored 4 books on Applied Mathematics. He has been awarded ‘the best teacher award’ at KJSCE and has organized and attended number of STTPs for helping others and self-upskilling professionally.

Dr. Rachana Desai, is a Mathematician by profession and an educationist by heart. She is part of the Faculty of Mathematics, Somaiya Vidyavihar University, Mumbai. Additionally, she is the Coordinator at Teaching Learning Centre(TLC), KJ Somaiya College of Engineering. She has received several remarkable awards in academics, research excellence, TLC including gold medal at undergraduate level, best research paper award for Indian Mathematical society, limca book of world record in mass aerobics and more.
Her research interests are Special Functions and Mathematics education. Dr. Desai has published more than 15 peer reviewed international journal and conference papers. Currently, she is serving as a reviewer for Journal of Engineering Education Transformations. Dr. Aparna Jain is a Gold Medalist at Masters level followed by a MBA in Marketing and holds Ph.D. She is a Research guide at Somaiya Vidyavihar University and has been associated with Somaiya Vidyavihar for the past 21 years.
Having authored eight books in management, she has also published research papers in International journals. Her years of experience have resulted in excellent coaching, teaching and motivational skills. She believes in the philosophy of “create and not just curate”.

Ms. Bhavana Patil is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and is also the Chairperson of Board of Studies in Commerce, She is a Coordinator of B.Com. (Honours) and M.Com(Business management) at S K Somaiya College. Ms Patil has industry experience in Financial services alomg with eight years of teaching experience across different commerce streams. She has published eight papers in the field of Commerce and possesses specialization in finance related subjects.

CA Monica Lodha is a Chartered Accountant by profession & Director of S K Somaiya College, Somaiya Vidyavihar University. During her decade long service at Somaiya Vidyavihar, she has published and presented fourteen research papers in State, National, and International Conferences & Seminars.
With her specialisation in Accountancy & Taxation, Monica has also authored a book on Indirect Taxes. CA Monica Lodha is an Associate member at Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) and has an active presence on various social forums.

Dr. Sivakumar is working as Professor and Head, Department of Economics at K J Somaiya Institute of Management. He is the Dean of Faculty of Humanities & Social Sciences at SVU. Dr. Sivakumar has about 30 years of teaching, research and consultancy experience. He has successfully guided 12 doctoral students, published two books and patents in the field of Economics and has also published articles in reputed journals.
Dr. Sivakumar teaches Managerial Economics, Macroeconomics, Indian Economy, Business Environment, Business Ethics and Corporate Governance. His years of hard work and excellent knowledge in the field of Economics have gained him several awards and recognitions.

Ms. Richa Chaudhary has industry experience in the field of Advertising and has also been associated with the NGO, Eklavya. She completed her Masters in Journalism & Mass Communication with specialization in Advertising & Public relations.
Ms. Chaudhary has been associated with Somaiya Vidyavihar for the past 13 years now and has vast experience of over 20 years in teaching Mass communication, Journalism, Advertising, Marketing and Management courses at various institutes.

Shree. Aazaz Khan is the Director of Faculty of Sports and Exercise Sciences at Somaiya Vidyavihar University, Vidyavihar. Having an experience of over 25 years in the field of sports as well as marketing, he is the current Director of Somaiya Sports Academy. He pursued Cricket in India and has played Tennis and Squash in Corporate leagues. He has even done Cricket coaching under international coaches in England and pursued the intricacies of spin bowling with an international player in Southampton UK.
Aazaz Khan has played Cricket for Hamble (A division - Hampshire) and various other Cricket clubs in England and India. He has served as a consultant for Hazaribagh Olympic Association and assisted their efforts in grassroots infrastructure and sports development among children and youth across various sports.

Director - International Relations
Dr. Satyendra Kumar Upadhyay is currently serving as Director-International Relations and has the privilege of engaging with students, academicians, diplomats, professionals, think tanks, governments and foreign universities across various countries like Argentina, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, China, France, Germany, Indonesia, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Malaysia, New Zealand, Nepal, Poland, Russia, UK, USA, Singapore, South Africa, Spain. He took on these opportunities at various levels including as a teacher, researcher, member of committees, BOS, global consortiums and funded research projects.
Dr. Kumar manages internationalization of education at Somaiya Vidyavihar University, which includes collaborations with foreign university for students and faculty exchange program, joint research, conferences and facilitating international student affairs. He is also an Asst. Professor (SR.SC.) in General Management Department at K J Somaiya Institute of Management and Visiting Professor of China Studies at KJIDS. He delivered guest lectures at Yunnan University, Beijing Foreign Studies University, Institute of International Studies, MET and Mumbai University. At KJSIM, he is coordinator for Scheme for Promotion of Academic and Research (SPARC, MHRD, Govt. of India).
His academic achievements include two Ph.Ds (Barkatullah University, India and Xiamen University, China), an MBA in Marketing from Mumbai University and he is proficient in Mandarin. He has 18 years of industry experience and has worked in India and abroad. His research interests are in International Relations and Diplomacy, International Business, Marketing, BRICS, India-China Relations, and published paper in peer reviewed journals.
